This is a stunning pink vintage evening gown from Pierre Cardin, originally purchased in the late 1960's. It is easy to see how this dress could have been an inspiration for other designers including Gianni Versace and many of today's contemporary fashion designers.
The dress has vertical bands that extend from the collar to the top of the bust-line that reveal just enough of the décolletage. These vertical strips of fabric, as well as the collar, are covered in pink beads and a variety of sequins and rhinestones. The caged effect is contrasted with the soft, pink shantung silk fabric.
This vintage long dress has a back zipper and the collar closes in the back with 3 hooks and eyes. This is such an iconic yet still very modern dress that would be gorgeous worn to any special evening event! Our customers are always looking for dresses that are vintage but fit into the modern fashion landscape, and this one is the definition of that.
The dress is fully lined, has the Creation Pierre Cardin Paris label and we estimate it to fit a size 4 but encourage our clients to use the measurements as a guide for the best fit! It is in excellent condition.
